  • What is soft perfume?

    At its core, Soft Perfume is the fusion of the art of high-end perfumery with the science of natural skincare. All our fragrances are alcohol, paraben and paraffin free. The olfcatory compisitions are the creations of our master class perfumers with whom we work hand-in-hand to create high quality and complex scent compositions.

    The “skincare” quality of our perfumes is what enables us to name them Soft Perfume. Their cosmetic bases are completely natural composed of ingredients selected for their virtues for the skin.
Sabé Masson offers 3 different cosmetic base compositions:

      - A cosmetic base with Shea Butter, nourishing and healing. (Cosmetic base with ivory color). – Vegan

      - A cosmetic with Tiara Oil, hydrating and soothing for the skin. (Cosmetic base with a light orange color).

      - A cosmetic base with Mango Butter and Tamanu Oil, antioxidant and regenerating. (Cosmetic base with a light pink color).

    Some of our Solid Soft perfumes can also be found in liquid versions with new fragrances coming soon. Our Liquid Skincare Perfumes are a complex innovation also alcohol-free as well as being solvent free.

  • Are your products Vegan?

    A selection of our products are indeed Vegan. 6 of our Solid Soft Perfumes are vegan but also our Soaps & Hand and Body Balms. For the Vegan Solid Soft Perfumes they can be recognized by their light yellow shea butter cosmetic base.

    The vegan selection is as follows:

    Our hand and body balms and engraving soaps are also vegan and palm oil free.

    Our Soft Perfumes with Mango butter & tamanu oil and also Tiara oil are not yet vegan because they contain carmine. This ingredient has been removed from our formulas and starting at the end of 2020, we will be a 100% vegan brand. However, all our products are cruelty-free and we are in the process of being labeled « EVE VEGAN » one of Europe’s most renowned labels.

  • Do you test on animals?

    Absolutely not, we are a cruelty free brand. Our products are all tested dermatologically. None are tested on animals. We do not distribute in China for this reason.

  • I have sensitive skin, is your product okay to use?

    Our Soft Perfumes are suitable for all skin types. They are dermatologically tested, which means that we have led rigorous tests for skin tolerance and the non-toxicity of our products. All of this is included in our regulatory folders that we revise regularly and take very seriously.

    When it comes to risk of allergy, it is always a possibility, even the most natural products can react to different ingridients. Some skins even have allergies with products that are not considered as allergens or develop allergies at a later date.
There are many variables to take into account.

    However, seeing as our Soft Perfumes are alcohol free, this lowers the risk of allergies and skin irritation. We can never fully exclude this possibility. We encourage you to read the composition of the fragrance before purchasing. If in any doubt you may want to consult your dermatologist or doctor.

  • Are your perfumes Suitable during pregnancy? Safe for children?

    It is not recommended during pregnancy to spray your perfume on your skin as the alcohol it contains may penetrate your placenta. Indeed, our Soft Perfumes are without alcohol and paraben so they are much safer, however, they do contain traces of essential oils. We would encourage you to see your doctor on this subject before using your Soft Perfume. If you were to use a Soft perfume during pregnancy, we would recommend using a light fragrance such as Copacabana or Après la pluie le beau temps.

    Soft Perfumes must be kept out of reach for children (under 4). However, our fragrances are perfectly safe to use on children (with adult supervision).

  • What is the shelf life of Solid Soft Perfume? And Liquid Soft Perfumes?

    As our cosmetic compositions are natural the shelf life can be a little shorter than most cosmetics you may use.

    The shelf life of our solid Soft Perfumes is 12 months after opening. If the product has not been opened and the top not removed it can be kept up to 3 years if the storage conditions are adequate.

    For the liquid Soft Perfumes, after opening the product keeps for 6 to 12 months, if not opened shelf life is of 2 years under certain storage conditions.

    As stated on the packaging for Solid Soft perfumes they must be kept under 45°C / 113°F and above freezing. As for the liquid Soft Perfumes they must be kept at room temperature between 10°C / 50°F and 30°C / 86°F – Keep out of direct sunlight and intense light.

    If the product is not used within the first month of purchase we can't be help responsible for any recation as we would not know in what conditions the perfumes may have been stored in.

  • Do you offer product samples?

    Unfortunately, we do not yet send out product samples individually.

    Being a small intimate brand the costs of sending out sample would be too high to cover for us.

    We hope to offer this possibility in the near future for both our solid & liquid versions.

  • Where and how do I apply Soft Perfume?

    Solid Soft Perfumes offer a new way of applying perfume, more personal, more sensual: A slide of fragrance.

    You can apply your Solid Soft Perfume on tension points such as the wrists, the neck or along the breastbone. Why these areas? Because it’s on these tension points that you can feel your heartbeat, thus enabling your fragrance to better diffuse. Your body temperature is warmer on these points causing the Solid Soft Perfumes’ cosmetic base to better combine with your skin.

    If you are feeling more creative you can slide your fragrance along the sides of your nose this way you have your own olfactory bubble! But you can also apply to your temples or the forehead.

    The only areas that we would not recommend using the perfume is around the eye area and also on the lips. Soft Perfume is a different form of perfume but still perfume so the fragrance may cause irritation if applied to these areas.

    You will soon get used to this new gesture, this new ritual... It is then up to you to invent your own slide of Soft Perfume, your new way of wearing perfume.

    When it comes to Liquid Soft Perfume please be aware that these fragrances are oil based, so they can stain when apllied too close to clothing. As our Liquid Soft Perfumes have skin nourishing properties we do recommend applying directly on the skin, then rubbing the oils in so you can benefit from the natural virtues offered by the various oils. You could apply to clothing but please spray at a distance infront of you and walk through the mist of frangrance as opposed to spraying towards yourself. You can also apply you Liquid Soft Perfume on your hair as the oils will replenish hair health.

  • Where are your products made?

    Sabé Masson is “Proudly Made In France” - we work with French suppliers and partners, that we select to guarantee high-end products, and to be respectful of our vital eco-system: the environment, fauna and flora.

  • Can I use Soft Perfume before exposing myself to sunlight ?

    Any sun exposure* after having applied perfume is strongly disencouraged, the alcohol contained in perfume concentrate can cause depigmentation of the skin or other epidermal reactions.

    Our Soft Perfumes are alcohol free, however, the perfume concentrate they contain (10%) may present some organic-sensitizing materials, we advise you to never fully expose yourself to sunlight when wearing your soft Perfume. On the other hand, during a regular sunny urban day, you can perfectly use them.

    It is a continuous exposition with the willingness to tan that is not recommended with any form of perfume.

    * Please be careful when exposing yourself to the sun, protect your skin by using a strong sunscreen.

  • Do you have any male fragrances?

    All of our fragrances are in fact unisex, however due to the different hints of fragrance that compose each perfume some have a tendancy to be prefered by women and other liked by men.

    Even if some designs look more feminine than others, the magic of perfume is that when applied to the skin it creates a different alchemy with each person. Even a very feminine perfume base can evolve with a different smell from skin to skin.

    With a large range of 19 Soft Perfumes, almost every olfactory family is represented at Sabé Masson! Here are a few fragrances that seem to be the most “appreciated” by men:


    • - Artist: An androgynous woody chypre

  • How long do your fargrances last?

    This does vary depending on your usage habits. A Solid Soft Perfume is around 300 applications on the skin, but of course, it will depend on the way you are using it.

    Our regular clients purchase a Soft Perfume every 3 to 6 months. Once to twice a year for the liquid Soft Perfumes.

  • I need help choosing my perfume?

  • How long before my order ships?

    Orders typically take 1-2 business days to process.

  • Can I change my order after it is placed?

    We cannot modify orders once they have been placed. All sales are final. So sorry for any inconvenience!

  • Can I change my shipping/billing address for my order?

    No, unfortunately, we cannot modify shipping or billing address after you have placed your order. We advise you to review your order carefully and in detail before submitting.

  • Can I cancel my order after placing it?

    I don't know about this ? Should there not be a delay like 30 minutes in which case we can stop the order prep?

    Most brands allow to cancel orders in a defined time after purchase I think it's actually illegal t not be able to cancel

  • I received my package and have a problem!

    Oh no, we're very sorry to hear this ! We do our best to get your order to you in perfect condition, but mistakes can happen. Please email [email protected] within 10 days of delivery so that we may help you further.

    In all emails please have your order number on hand. Please note that you may be required to provide photos of your items in order for our team to best assist you.

  • Why isn’t my promo code working?

    We recommend copying and pasting your exact code into the coupon box to apply your discount. Keep in mind that promo codes cannot be combined, nor can they be applied towards shipping. They typically cannot be used during promotions as well, so double check the fine print when a promotion is live to be sure.

  • Can I combine promo codes?

    Unfortunately, promo codes cannot be combined with other codes nor can they be used on discounted items.

Shipping

  • When will my order ship?

    Our products usually ship within 1-2 business days (this does not include weekends or holidays). However, there could be unforeseen delays. You will receive an email as soon as your order ships.

  • How are shipping rates calculated?

    Shipping rates are a flat rate based on the weight of your order. For orders under 1lb, we charge $4.50. For orders between 1lb - 4.99lb we charge $7.85. Anything over 5lb will be charged $14.50. We also offer free shipping on orders over $50. You can view our full shipping rates and policy here.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Unfortunately, we do not currently ship outside the United States.

  • How do I track my shipment?

    Once your order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking information. Just click on the link in the email to view the status of your shipment. If you have an account with us, you can also view this information by logging into your account.

  • My order shipped, when will it arrive?

    All of our packages are sent via the US Postal Service, so delivery times vary. Orders typically arrive in 1-4 business days once they have shipped (business days do not include weekends or holidays).

Returns & Exchanges

  • What is your return policy?

    We accept returns initiated within 10 days of delivery of your order. To be eligible for a return, items must be unused and in their original packaging. To complete a return, please email [email protected] sabemasson.com.

  • When will I receive my refund?

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that your returned item has been received and whether or not it is eligible for a refund. If it is approved, please expect 5 - 10 days to see the refund amount in your account

  • I don’t see my refund, what should I do?

    If you haven’t received a refund, please check your bank account and contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done this and still have not received your refund email us at [email protected].

  • I need my refund redirected to a different account!

    So sorry for the issue! Unfortunately, we are only able to issue a refund to the original point of purchase for the order. Please reach out to your bank for more information on how to reroute the funds to the correct account.

  • I do not like the scent I bought, can I exchange it?

    Unfortunately, we ONLY offer exchanges if the item you purchased was damaged or you received the incorrect item.
